BDP International wanted to create a relaxation space for their employees to take a short break and relax during a busy working day.
The space was to be calming and create a sense of well-being for the busy employees. At the same time, it was to suitably express the brand philosophy and also serve for informal meetings or relaxing exercises.
BDP International is a global logistics company that deals, among other things, with ocean transportation, therefore the main inspiration for this space was the sea and its colours.
We used a spectacular large-format wallpaper on the walls with a picture of the sea as the view of it is very calming. The designers were also inspired by shipping and created soft seating reminiscent of shipping containers. The space is separated by wooden partitions as well as a "container" partition with the company logo. Employees can use a swing and comfortable seating and have informal meetings there.
We also focused on sustainability in this project. Not only did we use natural wooden materials, but for example, the lighting is made of cardboard.
This is a wonderful example of how to use the subject of the company's business (shipping) in every part of the office design, even in the employee break area.
