Infosys, a global leader in digital services and consulting, enlisted Tétris to reinvent its workspace within the Mirabeau Tower in Marseille. The company aimed to modernize its work environment across 900 m² on the 8th floor, offering a breathtaking view of the sea.
As a major player in technological innovation, Infosys sought to create a space reflecting its dynamic and forward-thinking brand image, while optimizing space utilization and enhancing collaboration among its teams. The 5-month project encompassed design, construction work, furniture solutions, and team relocation. It presented technical challenges related to the constraints of a High-Rise Building (HRB) and the requirements of BREEAM certification.
To meet Infosys' expectations, Tétris designed a nature-inspired space articulated around three themes: tropical forest, desert, and salt waters. This approach created a work environment that is both soothing and stimulating.
The layout includes various types of spaces, adapted to different work modes: concentration zones, collaborative spaces, and creativity areas. Convivial spaces were integrated to encourage informal exchanges and strengthen team cohesion.
Tétris overcame the technical challenges related to the high-rise building by adapting to the tower's complex systems, particularly the Building Management System (BMS) and active ceiling panels for heating and cooling. Special attention was paid to acoustics, with the installation of high-performance partitions to meet BREEAM certification requirements.
The project emphasized custom-made elements, creating unique features such as work cabins, a personalized kitchen, and designer partitions. These elements contribute to creating a strong visual identity while optimizing their functionality.
In a sustainability approach, Tétris reused 70% of the existing furniture, complemented by new ergonomic and aesthetic furniture. The flooring was designed using recycled or recyclable materials, reinforcing the project's ecological commitment.
Tétris' Design & Build project team successfully met this technical and aesthetic challenge, creating an innovative workspace that fully embodies Infosys' values and meets the needs of its employees, while adapting to the specific constraints of the Mirabeau Tower.
